Pavilion Theatre Update

By now, everyone who bought a ticket for the shows at the Pavilion in March will have received a letter from the theatre giving details of the cancellation and also giving instructions about refunds. The letter correctly states that the reason for cancellation was ‘contractual difficulties’. It has come to our attention that many people have called the box office to enquire further and have been told that the main reason for the cancellation was that Des had ‘double booked himself’.
This is totally untrue. Des has never double booked himself – not even once – in his entire career.
Tickets fot the Magners Glasgow Comedy Festival are going like hotcakes so if you don’t want to miss out then please make sure you book one of the remaining tickets today. Here is the link:

Urgent News - Pavilion Theatre

We have just heard that the Management of the Pavilion Theatre has taken the Des McLean shows for 19th and 21st March 2010 off sale. In an email to us they said that they would contact everyone who had already bought tickets for the shows to arrange refunds. If you are affected by this then please contact the theatre directly for more information on 0141 332 1846. Please note that Des has no control over this whatsoever but he has asked us to apologise to each and every one of his fans for the inconvenience. There is a very exciting announcement being made on Thursday 19th March 2009 about a replacement venue for Des’s Magners Glasgow Comedy Festival show for 2010. Please come back for regular updates. We sincerely hope we can still rely on your support when details of the new show are revealed.

DVD in HMV

In response to huge public demand, Des has agreed to allow his new DVD to be sold through HMV stores. You will be seeing them on display in many of their outlets in the west of Scotland from today. Thanks to all of the loyal fans who have already bought them from the website.

Royal Mail Industrial Action

We have been advised by Royal Mail NOT to post any of the orders for the new DVD today (Thursday 22nd October) or tomorrow (Friday 23rd October). All orders placed on our on-line store will, therefore, be mailed out on Saturday. We hope they will be delivered to you as quickly as possible and can only apologise for this inconvenience to our valued customers. Sadly it is due to circumstances beyond our control. Des to Host 'The Hour' on STV

Exciting news Des fans. We are so pleased to announce today that the bold Des will be hosting STV’s popular teatime show ‘The Hour’ for 5 nights on the week commencing Monday 26th October. ‘I can’t believe it,’ says Des. ‘My mum has never really believed I was doing well but this changes everything! And I also can’t wait to work with Michelle McManus again. We got on really well when she was at Clyde.’ So remember to tune in between 17.00 and 18.00 from Monday 26th October for the whole week and support the Funnyman.
