Urgent News - Pavilion Theatre

We have just heard that the Management of the Pavilion Theatre has taken the Des McLean shows for 19th and 21st March 2010 off sale. In an email to us they said that they would contact everyone who had already bought tickets for the shows to arrange refunds. If you are affected by this then please contact the theatre directly for more information on 0141 332 1846. Please note that Des has no control over this whatsoever but he has asked us to apologise to each and every one of his fans for the inconvenience. There is a very exciting announcement being made on Thursday 19th March 2009 about a replacement venue for Des’s Magners Glasgow Comedy Festival show for 2010. Please come back for regular updates. We sincerely hope we can still rely on your support when details of the new show are revealed.

In response to huge public demand, Des has agreed to allow his new DVD to be sold through HMV stores. You will be seeing them on display in many of their outlets in the west of Scotland from today. Thanks to all of the loyal fans who have already bought them from the website.

Royal Mail Industrial Action

We have been advised by Royal Mail NOT to post any of the orders for the new DVD today (Thursday 22nd October) or tomorrow (Friday 23rd October). All orders placed on our on-line store will, therefore, be mailed out on Saturday. Des to Host 'The Hour' on STV

Exciting news Des fans. We are so pleased to announce today that the bold Des will be hosting STV’s popular teatime show ‘The Hour’ for 5 nights on the week commencing Monday 26th October. ‘I can’t believe it,’ says Des. ‘My mum has never really believed I was doing well but this changes everything! And I also can’t wait to work with Michelle McManus again. We got on really well when she was at Clyde.’ So remember to tune in between 17.00 and 18.00 from Monday 26th October for the whole week and support the Funnyman.

At last. It’s here. 117 minutes of the best of the Funny Man live from his sell out stand up tour. Featuring some amazing ‘Billy Connolly’s Bulls**t Tour of’ clips you won’t have seen anywhere else and some of the best stand up comedy routines that will have you laughin’ yer heid aff. Go buy it now. It’s strictly for over 18’s. Des also wants to point out that he has a wedding to pay for next year so buy one for your maw while you are at it.

So Des fans – the new DVD is finished and copies are on their way to us at this very minute. We hope to have them in the webshop for you next week and we can tell you it’s hilarious! 117 minutes of the very best of the Des McLean stand up routines and some amazing ’Billy’s Bulls**t Tours of’ which you will not see anywhere else. And remember, this DVD will NOT be on sale in the shops. You can only get it at desmclean.com.
A couple of points though – IT IS STRICTLY FOR OVER 18’S ONLY and that’s an order! And here is some brilliant news. The RRP of the DVD is £19.99 but for the first 2000 copies, we are giving them away at £15.99 and Des has insisted that this should include free delivery to anywhere in the UK! Des says,‘This one is for all the amazing fans who come out and see me on tour and support me all the way.
